Frequently Asked Questions

What's it like when you hire a writer? What can you expect as a business? I answer all your burning questions about SEO blog writing services here.
1. How does the process work when I hire you as a writer?

First, we’ll chat about your business. If there’s a fit with your needs and my skills, I’ll send over a quote for the project. If that looks peachy-keen, we sign a contract and process an upfront deposit. From there, we get to working on the content! Here are more deets about the writing process.

2. How do you determine pricing?

I charge $0.25 / word for all blogs. My other services are billed based on volume, word count, turnaround time, and complexity. I’m more than happy to shoot over a no-strings-attached quote to give you a better idea of pricing.

3. Do you have capacity for my project?

Probably! I’ve structured my business so I can scale to work on dozens of client projects at once. Of course, I only have two hands. You can always get in touch to see if we’re a fit.

4. What makes you different from other freelance bloggers?

Great question! It comes down to a few things:

  • Texas home base: I’m an Army brat, but I grew up in Texas. Although I might throw a few “y’all’s” around in our video calls, I’m a native English speaker.
  • Marketing expertise: Most writers didn’t get their start in content marketing — but I did. I take a marketing-first approach that most writers aren’t equipped to offer.
  • Predictable pricing: I only offer flat-rate pricing. That gives you more budget predictability. Know exactly what you’ll pay for work, with zero surprises.
5. Can you source images or do graphic design?

As much as I’d love to, I’m not blessed with graphic design skills. I can’t create custom images for my clients, but I’m happy to refer you to a trustworthy designer who can.

On occasion, I help clients source images by providing links to royalty-free stock photo sites. You’re still responsible for adding the image to the blog and managing its license.

6. Are you a good fit for my business?

Maybe. I don’t take on every project, and that’s because I truly believe that client-writer fit is important. I’m more than happy to do a paid test project before we commit to a long-term agreement. This ensures it’s a good fit on both sides.

I’m happy to chat about your project to see if we’re a fit.

7. Will you keep this work confidential?

Absolutely. While I’m more than happy to sign an NDA, I don’t disclose client information by default.

The only time I would mention our work together is if you agree, in writing, to provide a testimonial.

8. How do you prefer to communicate?

I prefer email, but I’m available for a call if it’s necessary. If possible, please give me 48 hours notice before a call so I can carve time in my schedule for us to chat.

9. What services do you offer?

While blogging is my bread and butter, I offer end-to-end content help for my clients. I write blogs, websites, ads, and a lot more. Check out my rates and services to find a solution for your business.
